Lion Pride operates as a separate charitable initiative under the 501(c)(3) of the Lake Forest PTA.

Since 2020, Lion Pride has supported the families of Lake Forest Elementary School (LFES), a Title I school located in Sandy Springs, Georgia.
The majority of LFES parents are employed in the service industry and were hit hard by the loss of jobs during the pandemic. Due to this crisis, teachers and neighbors joined forces to raise funds and coordinate resources to help low-income families cover basic needs like groceries, rent, and utilities.
As the pandemic subsided, Lion Pride shifted its focus to bolstering experiential learning opportunities for LFES students. While continuing to provide emergency assistance, Lion Pride began focusing on educational enrichment, after-school programming, and summer camp scholarships.
As we enter our fifth year of service, we have begun piloting a program targeting select students in our population with precision interventions, some of which involve support from specialized tutors. We remain laser-focused on meeting the needs of our student population and welcome the support of our Sandy Springs community.
Lion Pride's ongoing passion and commitment to support the LFES community has raised more than $175,000 for teacher-led initiatives to date.
